Instructions For Use
With limited care, your sprinkler will provide you with many years of enjoyment. Please take the time to read the following instructions on the use and care of your new art sprinkler.
There are three components - the head, the stem and the fork.
To install, screw the stem into the fork tightening it using a spanner. Then push the fork into the soil (alternating pressure side to side) with your foot until the fork bottoms out at ground level with the sprinkler in a vertical position. When turning the water on, do not turn it on at full pressure, but gradually increase the pressure to the watering radius desired. To remove the spike from the ground DO NOT strain the pole from side to side, but rather pull the pole as close as possible to the spike and pull straight upwards.
Connect your hose pipe into the Hoselock connector at the base of the fork.
We feel that the natural beauty of copper oxidisation enhances the sprinklers beauty. If you want to speed up this process, apply a coat of vinegar and simply leave to the elements. If you wish to keep your sprinkler from turning colour, rub it down with '000' steel wool and apply a coat of wax. It is advisable to lubricate at the top of the stem where the head attaches every 30 days or so depending on use, with WD40 or 2-in-1 oil. You can leave your sprinkler out all year as long as you drain it down by disconnecting the hose.
